Nov 23, 2022: New Moon in sidereal Scorpio in Anuradha and Jupiter goes direct: Friendship and Foundation

Nov 23, 2022: New Moon in Anuradha and Jupiter goes direct: Friendship and Foundation

At 17:57 eastern time, there will be a New Moon in sidereal Scorpio in the “friendship star” Anuradha, ruled by the deity Mitra whose motivation is to be a steady support and good friend. Being ruled by Mars and Saturn, its forte is consistent effort that leads to clarity, cooperation, manifestation and abundance. Its symbols are the triumphal arch and the lotus, reminding us that even when things seem slow and murky, if we are well-rooted and have patience with the process, our efforts will beautifully blossom.

The Moon will be sitting closely with the Sun, Mercury and Venus. All the planets are receiving a boost from Jupiter (who is also making big moves a few minutes later when it goes direct at 18:03 - see below). Jupiter gives an encouraging pat on the back and helps lift our gaze to the horizon, helping us refocus on the possibilities approaching. This is a welcome albeit subtle shift during a challenging season. The planets are also connecting with Mars retrograde in Taurus, whose emphasis is on growing deep and solid roots. However, these energies can feel conflicting at times. If we can surrender to the process, then we can manage this time well. Negotiations are necessary (internal and with others), as is a good dose of patience. And so, some main focuses of this New Moon and of the current planetary interplay is on strengthening our foundation, finding patience within as well as inspiration and support to help keep us going.

Forward movement will begin to feel more and more possible as Jupiter goes direct after having been retrograde for the last 4 months (Jupiter Retrograde has us Reset Intentions from One New Moon to Another: July 28 – Nov 23, 2022 — Alexia Neonakis Vedic Astrology). We are still working with Mars retro until mid-January so the ability to leap ahead is not there yet. This is also a welcome shift as we are coming out of a heavily retrograde time when things tend to feel “stuck in the mud.” How fitting the New Moon’s symbol of the lotus reminds us our efforts are worth it.

Some questions to consider for the New Moon and Jupiter direct:

Who has been a good friend?

Who are you offering supporting to?

How is your foundation? Have you been strengthening your roots?

Where do you still feel unclear or stuck?

Have you been making consistent efforts in a certain endeavors? Or have you not found your footing yet?

Do you feel like potential is showing and preparing to blossom?

Are you being patient with yourself and the process?

::PEACE::
