Mars in Taurus: Steady as we go

The heat has been cranked up. The last 6 weeks with Mars-Rahu in Aries have been intense and life changing for some, while for others it was the match needed to ignite change. It’s been a lot to handle! Thankfully, fiery Mars is shifting away from hot Aries and wild Rahu, and into the grounded earth sign of Taurus from Aug 10-Oct 15, 2022 / Nov 13-March 12, 2023. This is an unusually long transit for Mars which normally takes about 45 days to transit a sign. Mars in Taurus will help us to slow down and re-establish our roots. Our nervous systems will be grateful!

The mantras for this time are: slow and steady / help beauty emerge.

Wherever Mars goes, our attention goes. Mars likes action, even if it’s disruptive and uncomfortable. It gives us courage and helps us get moving. Mars creates friction for change and (hopefully) growth. Taurus, on the other hand, is slow, stubborn, sensual, indulgent. As an earth sign ruled by Venus, having an accountability partner can be the remedy against delays or stalling. Learning to merge and navigate their energies can create great beauty and even masterpieces. Taurus’ artistic side and Mars’ strength and physicality can create fearless musicians, dancers and artists.

Over the next 7 months, our focus will naturally gravitate towards becoming more grounded, connected and in tune with our bodies, stronger in our voices, more focused on our homes/properties/finances, and more present in our partnerships, especially intimate ones. Creative pursuits are highly encouraged as Mars in Taurus has the stamina to help beauty to emerge from whatever expression it’s using.

The symbol of Mars in Taurus is the bull, and so it can show up like sweet Ferdinand the Bull smelling the flowers, a charging bull that only sees red, or an ox yoked and working in the field. Which one will show up more for you? Mars in Taurus can have incredible patience, until it’s pushed too far and erupts like a volcano.

Key lessons from this transit:

• speak up before it feels like too much to take on

• don’t rush through things

• stay steady

• stay grounded

• your body knows best

• creativity is your birthright

*We will have a welcome shift with Mars in Gemini Oct 15-Nov 13, 2022 which will lighten things up and help us move with more excitement. It’s the time for a quick sprint forward on the solid plans Mars in Taurus helps us diligently create.

*Mars will be retrograde Oct 30, 2022 until Jan 12, 2023: review the action steps we’ve been designing and implementing, making sure all aspects are considered. Taurus likes to see and understand the complete picture; retrogrades can give us the additional information we require.

::PEACE::
