Full Moon Krittika 29°48 Aries, Friday, Nov 15, 2024 at 4:28 PM eastern time: Leadership and Service in our Daily Lives
The Full Moon is in a degree of sidereal Aries called "Krittika" translated from Sanskrit as the "Cutter." It's a sign that creates leaders, people who have sharp minds, and can cut to the core of an issue. It is guided by Mars and the Sun, asking us to each look at ourselves / our intentions / our egos / our soul needs (all connected to the Sun), and where we need to put energy, take action and have an impact (Mars). When shining beautifully, Krittika typically engages in healthy character building actions. When its shadow side emerges, it can be stubborn, passive-aggressive or speaks in a condescending and sharp tone.
"Agni," the god of fire, is affiliated with this sign, reminding us of the need to stay strong and to keep our own "agni" - our internal fire - strong and alive. In Ayurveda, without "agni" there is no life. It is the most important component of our existence: our internal flame. How does it show up each day? Quite simply, in our digestion. In the case of the Full Moon, it will show up in our minds and emotions asking us if we have been able to process and digest all that is on our plates. This internal fire is a delicate thing: just like with too much food, even too much activity and engagement can fan the flames too high or extinguish it. Our internal fires need constant tending to and mindful practices in order to support digestion on all levels (physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual).
As this Moon is making connections to Saturn, we are being asked to pull back and look at the essentials and the most effective and sustainable tools we have that allow us to take care of our internal fires so we can in turn help others. Saturn makes us lean into the challenges at hand, and to show up - without ego - ready to roll up our sleeves and be of service. It’s time to go back to basics and discern where our efforts are most needed. Thankfully Saturn also goes direct with the Full Moon, which will make it easier to finally feel motivated and capable to getting things going and moving forward.

•Are you taking care of yourself?
•Does your daily routine (morning especially) reflect what you truly need?
•Are you feeling supported, or a lack of support?
•Are you reaching out to community? Or are you actively creating community?
•Where are you being called to lead or support others?
•Do you have a simple and sustainable plan
•Is your ego /pride /fear in your way?
•What can you do to incorporate the positive aspects of Krittika into your daily life?
