NEW MOON in Sidereal SCORPIO (Nov 26 10:06am eastern time): Nobody’s going to save you.
You must do it yourself.
This New Moon in Anuradha, the friendship star, reminds us we need to be our own best friend first. This means putting ourselves and our internal/spiritual world at the forefront of our lives. This can be extremely challenging for some. (Is it for you?)
Since this New Moon is without aspects or planets influencing it (other than the sun which of course creates the new moon energetic), it can easily do the work of the sign and the house it’s connecting with. As this moon is in sidereal Scorpio, the personal work is to be tackled head-on, without fear or avoidance. Thankfully, Anuradha has a strong inner compass that is not steered by greed or self-gain but rather seeks to align with compassion and a sense of humanitarianism.
At the exact time of the New Moon, the Sun and Moon will be sitting in the 12th house of the chart. This placement focuses on transcendence and ultimate release, and strongly associates with retreat, meditation and third eye awakening. Nobody can do these things for us. We must do them alone. Our own individual efforts and courage are what matter with this New Moon energetic. Remember the internal work done now will strengthen us and create more resiliency, stronger boundaries, and a solid sense of self.
There’s a sort of existential integrity occurring at the moment. We have each made an unspoken agreement to do our private inner work – now. For some, it might initially feel like a brief dark night of the soul. And for others, it will be freeing and opening, as it should be. Either way, we must put any reluctance aside, take a deep breath and start to walk through it.
