Amidst the pressure created by the cluster of planets hovering above us is the star of symphony riding in on Mercury Retrograde, reminding us to take time to tune inward and truly LISTEN. While in general Merc Retro (Jan 30-Feb 20) can be tricky for some, it’s always a good time to PAUSE, REFLECT and even REDIRECT.

Transitions are hard. We are managing a few at the moment. Merc is shifting gears on us so rest as it settles into being retrograde. Mercury will be bridging two signs and two nakshatras during this retrograde movement: Aquarius and Capricorn, Dhanishtha and Shravana. One builds connections while the other takes inspired action on them. We are in a moment of review; savor it rather than rush through it. *Merc retro is however a great time to revisit old “back burner” projects and wrap them up, so by all means play catch up.

Dhanishtha, the sign beginning the retrograde movement, is ruled by Saturn and Mars. It loves to take action yet knows it can’t proceed without a plan. Don’t let this sign’s feisty Mars energy push you to take action too soon – just start swaying to the music you’re feeling because we are in rewind and review mode right now.

From Feb 10-March 4 it will be in Shravana, the sign of listening, of the ear, and of the cosmic vibration aum. Both of these signs (Dhanishtha and Shravana) know how to tune in to the subtle whispers and align with the rhythm around us and within us.

It’s a beautiful time to incorporate music that elevates and transcends into our daily routines. Dhanishtha loves drumming and moving to the rhythm, while Shravana loves to chant and merge with the vibrations. Allowing these into our day as meditation bridges will be highly supportive of openings manifesting.

As mentioned in the previous forecast, we are in a special moment now where the planets are asking us to take a step back and tune into our personal needs. Sometimes we just need to stop the sounds coming at us so we can hear the sounds within us, and begin to move again to our own authentic dance.
