Full Moon today in Swati at 8:59pm eastern time: PLANT SEEDS FOR PERSONAL GROWTH

This full moon in Swati, a degree of sidereal Libra, is sitting with Jupiter and is without other planetary connections or afflictions. This is a rare and very beautiful thing. It allows the Moon (emotions / heart-mind) to fully express without having to negotiate too much. The Jupiter connection to the Moon creates protection and abundance in all forms. Jupiter is the “Great Benefic,” always uplifting and supporting. Think back to your last few days and reflect on how you’ve experienced this. Jupiter is retrograde so these experiences might have shown up looking somewhat backwards and even challenging at first. Still, Ganesha, the ruling deity of Jupiter who is considered to be the Remover of Obstacles, is present and supportive this Full Moon and the days around it. Giving gratitude is key. Stepping out of our own way for the gifts to arrive is too.

Swati, the Vedic sign the Full Moon is in, brings our focus to personal growth. With its symbol as the wheat sprout, it begins its journey as an eager seed buried deep in the soil, willing to do the tough work of push through the soil, rise up to grow as tall and strong as possible towards the shining sun, even through the rough weather it is sure to encounter. It has drive, focus and determination. It strives to better itself, to further its growth and development, no matter what.

“Planting seeds” for future fruition is an excellent way to use this lunar energy. Working on yourself is always the number one project, so beginning a new personal development book, podcast series, mindfulness program or coaching one on one with a coach is supported. When you work on yourself, the obstacles get removed, the doors open and the seeds begin to push up through the soil. Just like the wheat sprout’s growth, it takes tremendous effort to flower into the best version of ourselves. The time is now.

Full Moon questions to consider:
- Do you feel supported and protected?
- What are you feeling grateful for?
- Are these gifts coming in strange wrapping paper?
- Are you working on yourself?
- What seeds are you busy planting?

Next up: Mars will be shifting signs this week. This major change deserves its own forecast. Here’s what I wrote in a previous forecast about this major shift:

Mars will be in sidereal Capricorn from May 3-November 7, 2018: This is a very long transit for Mars as it usually spends about a month or so in a sign. When Mars sits in a sign for an extended period of time as it will for half of 2018, it forces us to look at this area of our lives via the sign it’s in and the house it’s hitting in our personal charts. Mars in Capricorn is considered to be an exalted placement, meaning the “go get ‘em” and often times impatient energy of Mars operates well and stays on track in the earth sign of Capricorn. This will be a blessing to us all. Mars in Capricorn will encourage us to focus in our energies to those things that are most likely come to fruition. The Saturn retrograde time we will be experiencing a few weeks before this Mars shift occurs will support us in a doing a reset with our intentions and daily actions. Mars will be retrograde from June 26-August 27, letting us take a step back and reconsider the path we are on and giving us a time (during the summer down time) where we can shift gears if necessary or fine tune the path.
