Full Moon in sidereal Virgo in Hasta April 6, 2023 at 00:35am eastern time: The Power is in Your Hands

We began this lunar cycle with the New Moon asking us what (inner) battles we’ve been fighting. Now we are connecting with a Full Moon in Hasta: a caring, capable and healing sign that reminds us we have the power in our hands. Hasta has a strong left/right brain balance, honors both sides of our beings equally, and encourages us to do the same. Being ruled by Mercury and the Moon, it brings together the scientific and the subtle. Even though it’s in “prove it to me” Virgo, it knows we can’t only focus on what we can see/feel/touch and discount our energetic/emotional/intuitive sides.

As a sign with many skills and tools in its toolbox, Hasta’s strong suit is problem solving. It has empathy, can hold space for difficult experiences, and can help us to plan ahead in practical ways while feeling like we’ve been seen and heard. This beautiful and supportive Full Moon wants us to know we have the power in our hands to move our lives forward in the ways we envision. Trusting this is key at the moment as Jupiter is sitting with the Sun opposite the Moon, saying believe in your Self.

Hasta is known for its healing hands, its sharp intellect, its love of ritual and its crafty abilities. Working with hands on modalities, energy adjusting practices and practitioners, art, and even home organizing and yard work can help us to clear our minds and hearts, and get more in alignment with our paths.

Hasta is, after all, about energy conversion. Its deity is Savitar, the Sun god, who illuminates the inner world, helping to extinguish darkness from within. Its shakti or power is to put the objects of your desire into the palm of your hand.
