Mars in Virgo: Aug 18-Oct 3, 2023
Mars in Virgo is a utilitarian at heart, cutting out practices that no longer serve, and taking steps to implement ones that do. Mars is swift and Virgo is decisive — that is, once it’s done research and believes it’s choosing the most efficient path. We have 6.5 weeks of Mars in Virgo eager to get things checked off, so take a moment to make your to do list, including action plans and projected “finished by” dates. Even though we will be working with a lot of retrograde energies (currently Saturn and Venus, Mercury on Aug 23, Jupiter on Sept 4, many in fire signs), we will still feel like we have a plan to tackle areas, even if we get slowed down or redirected at times. We clearly have some back end work to tackle, and some decluttering to do of our stuff and of our ideas. Thankfully Mars is in Virgo comes in with its mop and a solid clean up plan at the beginning of the massive retrograde overlap, giving us the oomph to hop to it.
Mars in Virgo likes efficiency and simplicity. Think in terms of “bullet points” rather than the stories we create and indulge in. That was Mars in Leo’s domain. It’s time now to simplify so we can get to sustainability and service. The motto of this Mars cycle: Creating order and an accessible schedule brings freedom.
When misdirected, however, this combo can get critical and become a bit of a know it all. While it might have done a lot of research and may have the right plan, remember Virgo is ruled by Mercury - so open discussions are key before we let irritation pop up.
Some other areas to consider:
1. This is an excellent time to be more mindful of “Agni” or the digestive health and fire, which influences our ability to integrate and digest all that is on our plates. For Agni recommendations: Resources — Alexia Neonakis Vedic Astrology
2. Mars in Virgo has an affinity for strength building, physical fitness and mental endurance. Focus now is on alignment, proper form and realistic programs.
3. It’s an excellent time to get things done and to stay on task: from cleaning out the closet to getting back on the yoga mat to organizing your next big project… what’s calling for your attention?
PS: I have opened up my calendar for readings beginning in September.
Looking forward to connecting if you’ve been wanting to schedule a session!
