FULL MOON in sidereal Aquarius - SATABHISHAK: Aug 30, 2023 at 21:36 eastern time: Step Up, Lean In and Heal
The Full Moon (also Blue Moon and the largest Super Moon of the year) is in sidereal Aquarius in the Vedic sign Satabhishak, meaning “hundred physicians” in Sanskrit. It has the shakti/power to heal as it reaches to multiple medicinal modalities – ancestral, allopathic, energetic, emotional, spiritual, physical – to receive a compounded effect. This Full Moon reminds us that it is not necessary to pinpoint the one thing that did the trick, but rather to look at the various angles of the “dis-ease” process or situation and honor each aspect of our beings with support in an attempt to treat the whole. Being in Aquarius, it’s driven to align our personal needs with that of the greater good.
Satabhishak is ruled by Rahu and Saturn, the karmic significators of our charts, who ask us to lean in and embrace the things that create discomfort, face our fear in order to diffuse its hold on us, and make a plan (most likely untraditional) towards forward movement. Together in this sign, reliable, open-minded, and forward-thinking approaches to the healing potential we each face are favored.
Saturn is quite influential as this Full Moon is in Saturn’s sign, it’s sitting close in degrees to Saturn retrograde, and the 2nd pada ruler is also Saturn. Saturn wants us to “trim the excess” and get down to brass tacks. What’s worked before? What hasn’t? What will stay? What will be released? What experts are you reaching to for support? Saturn reminds us it’s unnecessary to reinvent the wheel. There are many retrogrades into the next few months and this Full Moon is making a connection to Ketu; consider reaching back to methods and practitioners who were helpful as we may revisit old experiences.
Some things to consider:
· What is in need of healing or support in your life? In your community?
· Have you been here before?
· What modalities have been showing up in your field lately?
· What’s worked in the past?
· Are you ready to journey to places within you would rather not face?
· What is your vision for yourself?
· How does this support the greater good?
