Jyotish, commonly known as Vedic Astrology, means the “science of light” in Sanskrit and is a sister science to Ayurveda and Yoga. While Ayurveda is for the body and Yoga is for the soul, Jyotish is to calm the mind, give clarity, renewed focus and vision. A Vedic Astrology reading is a powerful tool that supports us in aligning with our overall life purpose, offers insight into what planetary energies we are working with at any given moment, and gives us guidance for the days to come. A Jyotish reading is always illuminating and is particularly helpful in clarifying lingering questions we might have. While readings are exciting and empowering, they can also bring up our challenging spots in life. It is a good idea to keep both aspects in mind when going into a reading, as well as honoring the sacred space created during the session.

Initial Full Reading

You may be having your chart read because you are at a crossroads, feel stuck or unclear, have major decisions to make, or you simply feel the time is right for a reading. Whatever the reason, there is always a draw to inner growth, and a longing to connect in a deeper and more fulfilling way.
The INITIAL FULL READING is the first session all new clients should receive as it is very thorough and tremendously insightful. Your birth info (month spelled out/day/year, exact birth time, location) is necessary for this reading. You can send along focus areas if you’d like, however they are not necessary. If you are asking about a relationship or a business, please see below and add on the additional birth chart option. In addition to an overall planetary analysis and intuitive information that often comes through for each client, the initial full reading includes explanations of the following: your personal 4 life motivations (dharma/artha/kama/moksha), Rahu and Ketu karmic indicators, Gulika placement, predictions and proper timing, potential health inclinations from your Ayurvedic constitutional type, planetary remedies, planetary lines, and focus area or burning question.

GULIKA, or “Black Saturn,” is a mathematical point in the chart that shows what you can’t avoid facing. It is the tricky spot in life that needs to be embraced with courage and enthusiasm as it will inevitably present itself over and over. Traditionally, it is said to “poison” the space it resides in and the connections it makes. However, what you will find is that it is your personal humility maker, always giving opportunities for true detachment and ego removal. It pushes you to lovingly connect with this aspect of yourself rather than neglect it, and to find the gifts out of the challenges it may present. You may come to realize that your life has actually been revolving around your Gulika placement, and that it eventually becomes an amazing tool for spiritual growth.
PREDICTIONS and PROPER TIMING using your personalized DASHA SEQUENCE, GOCHARA (TRANSITS), VARSHAPHALA (PROGRESSED CHART), and other SPECIAL PLANETARY EVENTS if applicable. You will feel empowered by understanding how to align yourself in order to support the manifestation process, and how long certain events will take to come to fruition. While certain events may seem possible from one angle, having the support from all predictive tools below is key to making accurate predictions.
DASHA: Think of your chart as a stage and each planet as an eager actor. When a planet’s part comes up, the spotlight shines on it as it takes center stage in your life, highlighting the joys, challenges, lessons and excitement associated with it from your chart. Dashas are the planetary time periods which line up to present a highly personalized road map for life. At any given moment, there are 5 levels of planets presenting – or 5 actors dancing together on your life stage. Which ones are receiving attention and when help us to determine the appropriate timing of life events, why certain things happen, and why others seem to lay dormant.
GOCHARA: While we are all experiencing the same planetary weather, where the gochara (current planetary transits) sit in your charts and how they interact with your planets will differ. Transits are analyzed from the ascendant and from the Moon.
VARSHAPHALA: Your varshaphala (progressed annual chart - not to be confused with your birth chart) changes each birth year. This chart gives us added insight as to where you should focus your energies and what is possible for the year.
SPECIAL PLANETARY EVENTS are also looked at and discussed if applicable, such as Saturn Return, Sadi Sati (a special transit of Saturn), recent Eclipses, transiting retrogrades, etc.
POTENTIAL HEALTH INCLINATIONS and AYURVEDIC CONSTITUTIONAL TYPE: Ayurveda, known as the Mother of all Healing and the Science of Life, is the ancient healing tradition from India. Its basic tenet of “for whom and when” makes its approach to health and healing very personalized. We will look at your Ayurvedic constitution from your chart, the divisional charts that reveal potential health inclinations and imbalances, as well as the remedies and modalities to support bringing balance back.
PLANETARY REMEDIES: Some planets need extra support in order to shine brightly in your life while others creating challenges may require mitigating. Understanding your personal connection with the planets needing remedies is key to the healing process. Appropriate and accessible remedies are discussed and agreed upon, as well as how and when to do them. The most important aspect to any remedy is your perspective and that you are in alignment with the intentions you have set forth for the planet you are working with.
PLANETARY LINES: This map shows planetary lines that correspond to placements in your birth chart. You will receive a basic analysis of what locations can support or hinder certain aspects of your life.
FOCUS AREAS or BURNING QUESTIONS: We will answer any questions you may have during the reading. It is helpful to know if you have special areas you would like to cover in your reading, although not necessary as we will cover a lot in the reading as it is. If you have any burning questions, please send along the date/time/place when the question first arose and we will pull up a chart for it. Please note it is not necessary to send detailed information. Additional birth charts about family members, love interests, or work partners are considered an additional birth chart, so please click on the “extra birth chart” add on below.

Follow-Up Readings: 45 Minutes or 90 Minutes
$115 for 45 minutes / $225 for 90 minutes
FOLLOW-UP READINGS are for clients who have already had an initial full reading and so can use this session in whatever way is needed: to gain insight into a certain area of life or an event, or to simply understand what is going on in the chart right now. Depending on what you would like covered and what aspects of your chart are asking for attention, any of the areas listed in the Initial Full Reading can be discussed. If you are asking specific questions, please send along the corresponding date/time/place of when the questions or events arose. If it is being written for the first time in setting up the session, that is enough. It isn’t necessary to send detailed information; a simple question with the corresponding date/time/place is fine.
45 minute follow-up: Sometimes a quick and powerful check-in is all we need. If you have specific questions, then the shorter more focused follow-up is perfect. There are yellow paypal buttons at the very bottom of the page if we go over the 45 minutes allotted.
90 minute follow-up: If it’s been a while since your last session (over 2 years), you have a lot of questions and charts to pull and would like more time together to process the areas being discussed, please choose the 90 minute follow-up.

A benefit of Jyotish is to be able to properly plan for major life events knowing you have the planets aligned in your favor. Clients most often ask about the following: when it is most supported to get married; when to launch a business or a new program; when to host a conference or retreat; what dates are most auspicious for a major journey; what dates and times are best for house closing and even having surgery.
Additional Charts
$35 added to chosen reading
Additional charts can be read during each reading for an additional $35 per chart. Expressed approval is necessary to look into additional birth charts unless you are the parent or guardian of a minor whose chart is being discussed. Please note: not only people have “birth” charts. Below are areas frequently asked about that often require additional birth charts to be analyzed. Please send birth info in this order: month spelled out/day/year, exact birth time, location of birth.
FAMILY MEMBER, PERSONAL or BUSINESS PARTNER: Please send birth information, and important dates relating to the relationship such as: first date, major conversations, other events.
BUSINESS: Please send the date (month spelled out/time/place) of when the business was launched, whether that is an LLC date stamp or when the business idea was first discussed (if it has not yet manifested). Clients often check email, text and phone calls to get the precise date and time for business events. However it’s fine to send an approximate time if you aren’t able to locate an exact time.
Chart Rectification
$60 added to the chosen reading
If you are unsure of your birth time, are unable to order a copy of your birth certificate or can’t find a baby book with a picture showing the birth time, we can RECTIFY your chart and figure it out. Please send along the time frame you believe you were born. For example, if you were told you were born in the “early morning,” please specify if that means 2am or 6am, or better yet, between 2-2:30am.
Please send a list of 5 or more exact dates (month spelled out/day/year) of MAJOR LIFE EVENTS such as but not limited to: marriage, divorce, major relationships, deaths or births in the family, higher degrees earned, major moves in career or residence, spiritual awakenings, journeys or meetings with teachers.
Having dates spread out throughout your life is important rather than sending dates clustered in a 10 year time period. Having multiples of certain events can be helpful (as in births or deaths, moves or degrees earned, major relationship dates, etc). Interestingly, the passing of grandparents and in particular the grandmother has helped to pinpoint the birth time, so please send these dates if you can.
